• Note: Electronics, flywheel, and exhaust manifolds are not included. The LS376/480 Controller Kit (Part 19354330) is required for electronic throttle control.

Installation and Break-In Procedure

1. Use dexos1-compliant engine oil (Mobil 1 15W-50 for track events).
2. Prime the system by filling the engine with oil. Additionally, ensure other necessary fluids, such as coolant and power steering fluid, are filled.
3. Initial Start: Run the engine at 1000 RPM until it reaches normal operating temperature. Avoid wide-open throttle (WOT) or high RPM for the first 30 miles or one hour.
4. Acceleration Runs: Perform 5-6 medium throttle accelerations (50% throttle) to 4000 RPM, followed by 2-3 hard throttle runs (100% WOT) to 4000 RPM. Return to idle after each run.
5. Oil Change: After 30 miles, change the oil and filter. Inspect the oil and filter for any foreign particles to ensure proper engine function.
6. Drive for 500 Miles: During the next 500 miles, avoid high loads and maximum RPMs. Change the oil and filter again after this period to maintain optimal engine health.
